Dear Prof. Dr Jost Reischmann and entire organizational team from Bamberg, I am writing you on behalf of Romanian Institute for Adult Education. We would like to thank you for the wonderful opportunity of participating at the International Conference of Adult Education, organized in Bamberg. First conference, "4th Conference of the International Society for Comparative Adult Education", as well as the second one "International Conference on the History of Adult Education", were fruitful and intensive experience, both by the density and quality of the informations and reflections shared, and also by the possibility of meeting together such famous and valuable colleagues from everywhere. These kinds of events are more than necessary for the society we are living in. Shortly, the Conferences in Bamberg can be defined by: maximum of professionalism, well timing, very good and effective team of organizers, friendly atmosphere, and, not at least, a celebration of adult education and of all the people involved within this area of education. Dear Jost By the time you are reading this, perhaps everything has been concluded and accomplished. I do hope that it hasn't left you exhausted. I can imagine that much was exhilarating, but that it was also demanding. The first part of the week, at least, was self-evidently wonderful. I greatly admired your personalized approach to everything, working together with your team and attending to every detail. It was a delightful atmosphere of academic discourse and friendly interaction. I am myself most appreciative of your invitation and the welcome. I greatly enjoyed the event, which included getting to know both a new academic community and a new geographic and cultural location. [Really, Bamberg lives up to its reputation as a delightful place!] It will be a pleasure to welcome you and colleagues to the XIIIth World Congress in Sarajevo if you are able to make it. Do please keep it in mind! And meanwhile, I again thank you sincerely for the great welcome to Bamberg. Dear Jost On behave of all the Finnish delegates I thank you for a wonderful and successful Conference. The professionally, the topics and the layout and the implementation was extremely good, which all delegates can witness. What was really special was the atmosphere. The miljo in Bamberg and the commitment of all of you and your staff where tremendous. The farewell party on Friday was also remberable especially because of Annie's performance. Now you should relax and take a fee days vacation. Within a month I will contact you and we will start to plan the next Conference. Lieber Jost, Zunächst einmal möchte ich Dir herzlich danken für die große Mühe und das interessante Forum, das Du dort den Kollegen aus aller Welt geboten hast. Es ist wirklich alles sehr schön und beschwingt verlaufen und ich denke, dass es für alle Teilnehmer ein unvergessliches Erlebnis war. (Ein Highlight u. a. war die Kammermusik während des Hall-of-Fame-Büffetts.) Auch die Hall of Fame-Veranstaltung war eine glückliche und gelungene und eindrucksvolle. Der Gedanke, Frau Süßmuth für die öffentliche Rede zu gewinnen, war ein sehr glücklicher und man sollte diese Rede unbedingt veröffentlichen. Also, ganz große Gratulation, verbunden mit herzlichem Dank, auch dafür, dass meine beiden Jenaer, Frau Hunanyan und Frau Kloubert, so freundlich aufgenommen worden sind. Dein Tagungsteam machte einen besonders netten Eindruck und ich kann Dir nur gratulieren zu so sympathischen und gewinnenden Studenten und Mitarbeitern! Nochmals allerherzlichsten Dank für eine großartige Konferenz. Dass Bamberg ja atemberaubend schön ist, ahnte ich, habe es aber nun in vollem Umfang erfahren können.
